More than 40 good Samaritans came together to form a human chain to save swimmers caught in a deadly riptide.
The chain was crafted at the beach on Lake Michigan over the weekend. Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee talk about the strange occurrence of riptides in a lake. “The Great Lakes are notorious for [rip currents],” she said.
Zee added when she was living and working there, “we had deaths every single summer.”
