Everyone who grew up in the 00s and knows what a guitar is can shout gobbledygook along to System Of A Down’s ‘Chop Suey’ because it’s a seminal hit of the time and a reminder of a bygone era.
It’s just one of those songs. That’s the reason that a 40 piece symphony orchestra can get away with covering it.
Of course it sounds excellent with the violins acting as a perfect piercing vocal line. It sounds completely different to the aggressive original though, and it wouldn’t sound out of place in a Bond movie soundtrack:
