Here’s an insect that you never want to run into, it’s called the Japanese hornet, a subspecies of the Asian Giant Hornet.
They deliver one of the most powerful stings in the world…
which makes sense, because their stinger is about a 1/4 inches in length. What’s even more shocking is that they actually kill an average of 40 people per year, and send even more than that to the hospital each year.
The Japanese hornet can be extremely aggressive if provoked, and if stung… the venom will attack the nervous system and damage tissue of its victims. Now, the venom isn’t the most lethal, but it’s the sheer amount that can cause hospitalization… especially if you’re allergic.
