Britain’s top dancers are more used to twirling around the stage to classical compositions by composers such as Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev than prancing to glam rock.
But to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, dancers from The English National ballet have recorded their own take on the classic hit.
Their elegant interpretation stars Erina Takahashi, who is currently playing Clara in The Nutcracker, and first soloist James Forbat, who plays the title role in the same ENB production.
Filmed at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre, the video starts with the pair silhouetted in a darkened dance studio which gradually becomes brighter through the opening lines of the song.
