A policeman on foot supervising traffic after an accident in the central area between two lanes of traffic in the Texas city of Hurst narrowly escaped death when he fell over on sheet ice and was nearly run over by an out-of control car.
Dashcam video released by the department shows the policeman carefully walking on the ice near the vehicle when another out-of-control car slides toward him.
He tried to get out of the way and then slipped himself, moving towards oncoming traffic. The sliding car narrowly missed him, with only milliseconds to spare as gets his hand out of the way of the vehicle’s tires in the nick of time.
