Monsoon Rains Cause River To Flood Bridge In Kerala

The ‘worst monsoon rains in a century’ have caused a river to swamp a bridge in Kerala, India.

As rainfall in the region has caused the death of 73 people in a week, software engineer Jojo Varghese filmed a river in Munnar washing over the tarmac of a bridge.

With the water swollen by downpours, brown rapids splash and crash over the road, making it disappear.

Government ministers have requested the deployment of the army and navy to help with the rescue efforts.
