In a hilarious video, the man tries to propose to his perplexed girlfriend – while wearing a mouthpiece that won’t let him shut his mouth as part of the game – but is repeatedly thwarted as she misunderstands what he is trying to say.
‘Will you honour me, by becoming… my lice?’ the bride-to-be asks in confusion before the proposal finally dawns on her.
The proposal came as the couple played Speak Out, a board game in which players wear the plastic mouthpiece while trying to pronounce tricky phrases.
The man disguised his proposal as a challenge from the game, and spends three minutes trying to get his wife to guess the correct answer: ‘Will you honour me by becoming my wife?’
