Man Gets Friendzoned On National Television And It’s So Cringey It’s Painful

We’ve all had an experience of unrequited love – but rarely are these heartbreaking situations broadcasted on national television.

So spare a thought for Let’s Make A Deal contestant Steve, who was friendzoned in front of the nation.

Let’s Make A Deal is one of America’s longest-running gameshows, and involves audience members, called traders, making deals with the host to win prizes.

On this episode, Steve and Jessie were invited down to play the game with host Wayne Brady.

But things got seriously awkward when Brady began grilling the couple, who were wearing 80s prom costumes, on their relationship, asking how long they’d been together.

Steve said: ‘About six months’ – but Jessie seemed to have other ideas. She interrupted:

‘We’re friends. We’re just friends but he wants to…’ – before erupting into a fit of giggles.

Steve, attempting to play it cool, said: ‘Can we talk about this not in front of everyone, Jessie? It’s complicated.’
