Guy Slaps A Digital Interface On His Acoustic Guitar. Sounds Insanely Awesome

Dubbed ACPAD, it’s being billed as the world’s first MIDI controller for acoustic guitars. Like a lot of upcoming products these days,

ACPAD is the brainchild of Berlin musician Robin Sukroso, who needed a piece of equipment that would allow him to bring his love of electronic and acoustic music together. The device would have to be durable enough to withstand constant use in performance, and it would have to be easy to use and intuitive to play.

After three years of research, development and testing, the ACPAD is finally ready. Sukroso, along with his partners at IIT Bombay, created a new 2-mm-thick stick-on wireless MIDI controller that’s powered by a rechargeable battery.

Those features makes ACPAD a truly portable device. Its tonal versatility allows players to blend both acoustic and electronic sounds with effects and assignable tap pads.
