Guy With “Devast8” Face Tattoo Has Turned Down Dozens Of Job Offers After His Desperate Plea For Work

Getting employed is tough enough, but when you add in the fact that you’ve been in prison and have a massive tattoo on your face, your options get pretty slim.

That was the situation facing New Zealander Mark Cropp when he got out of jail.

He posted this Facebook status, complaining that it was hard to find work.

Mark probably didn’t expect his Facebook post to go viral, but luckily for him, it’s caused job offers to be coming in left, right and centre.

Speaking with Daily Mail Australia, the teenage dad says he’s received more than 45 job offers but he’s turned them all down.
The 19-year-old says: “I am just waiting for the right one to come about.”

Mark has also decided to get rid of the now infamous face tattoo, saying: “I am just working out a date to get it taken off – which sucks because it is going to hurt.

“And because, you know, this tattoo means something to me and my brother did it for me so it is hard to make the decision to get rid of it.

“But I know it is the best thing for my future – and I want to be a person my family can look to for support.”

He got inked one night in prison after drinking home brew made from fermented apples, sugar and bread. His brother apparently came up with the idea, but it was supposed to be much smaller and just along his jawline.

The inmates managed to fashion a tattoo gun with a cassette player and a spring found inside a pen. They made the ink from burning plastic knives and forks and mixing the black powder with water and toothpaste.

Mark says they ‘got carried away’ and he ended up with ‘Devast8’ across his face, which is the 19-year-old’s nickname, because, according to him, he devastates everything he comes into contact with.
