Developed and manufactured in the 1880’s, the Fairground Organ is a marvelous thing to see in action.
Designed for use in a commercial public fairground setting to produce a large volume of sound to be heard over and above the noise of crowds of people and fairground machinery.
This particular organ from 1905, is an 81 key Marenghi Organ, arranged by Alexey Rom on a paper roll to play Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
