While we saw the Emma Watson starrer as a good but flawed remake, it’s clear that many absolutely adored the film, as implied by the fact that it grossed over $1 billion worldwide in the box office.
As Honest Trailers points out however, most of its success can be attributed to the fact that it’s basically the exact same as the original. It begs the question we’ve been asking from the start and still want to know in relation to the live-action Disney reboots – if they’re perfect, why remake them at all?
The trailer also points out the ridiculousness of the film’s “gay moment” but the highlight is probably what they’ve renamed the film: Rebooty and the Beast.
