Another Wheel of Fortune contestant experienced the pain of a nationally televised flub. With the puzzle “Flamenco dance lessons” completely revealed, all Jonny had to do to solve the puzzle was correctly pronounce all of the words in order to bank $7,100. Instead, he offered “flamingo dance lessons.”
“Sorry,” host Pat Sajak said as a look of confusion fell over Jonny’s face. After another contestant solved the puzzle, Sajak offered more of an explanation.
“What we all heard was — and I know you didn’t mean to say it — but, you gave us a ‘G’ instead of a ‘C.’ ”
